Ooh, two posts in two days!

Unusual, I know!

I am sat at home, stressed and tired after a day of marking and arguing with teenagers, exhausted after travelling for too much time and I am thinking....

Is it really so ridiculous to open a knitting shop in Brighton? A good one, where I can sell local and independent products and really cool stuff and books that you can't get in C&H or Borders? Where I could teach classes and my Stitch and Bitch group could come for cake and coffee (and, more importantly, less scowls than they receive in Starbucks) I wish I had the money. I reckon even in recession, it'd make money (even the Guardian is declaring knitting to be just the thing to do in hard times!)

Ah, I can dream, I guess.

Long time no post....

Hello! I haven't been around for a while, I've been so exhausted and snowed under that blogging has been temporarily forgotten. However, I have had a very interesting month:

- Brighton Knitting Safari: it was fab and I bought some amazing yarn that will no doubt be revealed as I use them, but it was great to see everybody (and I won in the raffle! And not teabags! I was *well* chuffed)

- Bronte has started going out of her own accord! She ran Bully Cat out of the garden (this is the cat who has consistently tried to beat Bronte up- even going so far as to running into the flat when we were out) We were mystified by this, until yesterday when I heard the distinct noise of chickens coming from a neighbouring garden. Mystery solved! She's obsessed!

- I went to see the Kills on Friday. Best. Gig. Ever. Lots of Kate Moss-a-likes though (one half of the band is her current beau)

- Benn and I have started our annual fake vs real debate regarding Christmas trees. I'm sticking with real, artificial just wouldn't be the same!

- Knitting and general life is OK, I just wish I could shake off the tiredness and anxiety, but I have an appointment with a nice doctor on Wednesday, so hopefully I can be back to normal sooner rather than later...

Normal service with the blog hopefully resumed soon!

Exhaustion...

So, half term was lovely. Em stayed for a few days, I made a tote bag and Nintendo DS pouch as Christmas presents and I spent a lot of time at the doctors.

I have been very, very tired for a long time now and I thought it might be anaemia, what with female-related stuff happening and I had tests last week. No anaemia, yay! But some evidence of slight inflammation in my blood (whatever that means) and no answer for the tiredness. So back to the doctors I go. Sigh. It's really ridiculous. I feel cold all the time. My ankles ache (if anyone wants to knit me a pair of thick socks, I wouldn't argue!) I am, in fact, turning into an old lady and I'm tired. I'm 24, I can usually walk for miles without so much as a red face. What's even more bewildering is that I didn't do any work over the holiday, as I was determined to give myself a break after the madness of the summer. *Sigh*. So now I have to wrangle time off and what have you and it is most annoying. As well as slightly worrying... Please keep your fingers crossed!

I did a load of work on Grandma's shawl, although it's still not done. I'm working like a beetle on it and the shrug has been relegated to the sidelines until it is done. I am so easily seduced, I need to focus. Yep, that's what I need to do. Oh, and write a novel in November thanks to NaNoWriMo. I've started but have no idea if I will make the 50,000 words by the 30th. We shall see. I guess I better go have a look at it.
