I also agree with cardingstories - pick up the blue from the dress and use that. The other alternative would be the pink, but I think that that would be a bit too overpowering. And definitely silk lace weight. And for yarn...mhm difficult I'd look for a place where you can have the yarn dyed in the perfect colour. I personally really like The Unique Sheep.
